CDUTCM-Keele Joint Health and Medical Sciences Institute
CDUTCM-KEELE Joint Health and Medical Sciences Institute is a Sino-British collaborative education institution established with the approval of China's Ministry of Education. The institute is jointly created by Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CDUTCM) and Keele University, and it is not an independent legal entity. The campus is located at the CDUTCM Wenjiang Campus in Chengdu.
CDUTCM-KEELE Joint Health and Medical Sciences Institute is an important institution that actively responds to the "Healthy China 2030 Development Strategy" and promotes international exchanges and cooperation. It is an important base for strengthening the construction of disciplines and promoting medical research and applications in health and rehabilitation. It is an innovative Sino-British collaborative college established to adapt to the rapid development of China's health industry.
CDUTCM-KEELE Joint Health and Medical Sciences Institute relies on the national and provincial key medical laboratories of CDUTCM and offers two majors: Rehabilitation Therapy and Health Services and Management. Based on the strong academic strength and characteristic talent cultivation model of CDUTCM and the global advantages of medical and health disciplines of Keele University, this institute adheres to the educational philosophy of "integration of Chinese and Western cultures, and combining ancient and modern knowledge". It aims to train international high-quality compound talents who possess medical and humanistic spirit, professional dedication, solid knowledge in health and rehabilitation, and the ability to work in various medical institutions, professional rehabilitation institutions, health preservation and elderly care institutions in areas such as rehabilitation treatment services, education, scientific research, and management.
In terms of the education model, the institute adopts the "4+0" mode, which means that all four years of the teaching process take place at CDUTCM. During the teaching process, the institute introduces the core curriculum system and teaching resources of the foreign party to carry out pure British-style teaching. Students who complete the required credits and meet the graduation requirements will be awarded the bachelor's degree and the graduation certificate from Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, as well as the bachelor's degree from Keele University.
